Deborah Linz's Return

Post by chloesdude »

The long time anchor for WCHS-TV returned after a very brief stint with the Governor's office. She did OK during the noon broadcast, a little out of rhythm though... I guess she will anchor the 6pm news as well. Maybe if CHS ever catches on with a 5pm newscast she would anchor it. Then they would find a permanent women evening co-anchor for the night casts.

Hopefully CHS will do a 5 with Deb and Rick, then Rick switch co-anchors at 6. Keeps Deb on two newscasts, and gives stability in the 6/10/11pm anchor team.

It seems clear now that WCHS will have to hire out of the market to find someone good enough to anchor at 10 and 11 each night. They just don't have anyone there who seems ready for that slot.Although most stations do seem determined now to hire young and cheap.

I was just thinking about the same thing. Deb's deal had to be bad for WCHS, because they have to hire an additional anchor now. The only good thing is likely a lift in Noon ratings. I thought they will either find someone out of market, or Rick will ride 10 and 11 solo.
