I know it cant be my imagination: ( I wont name names )
Watching the weekend news on WCHS tonight, both anchors had lisps (especially the male). One of their field reporters had a lisp. The weekday female anchor on WOWK has a lisp. I mentioned that the female on WSAZ started lisping a week ago because I thought she might have invisible braces.
Now... these are MILD lisps.... but lisps nonetheless.
It cant be my imagination because I don't notice anyone else on TV with a lisp. What going on?

You should probably stop drinking and taking RX drugs. Never noticed any of those people with a lisp.

Perhaps a technical problem.
Distortion sometimes can resemble a lisp.

I'd have to go out on a limb and say if they're ALL doing it, you've got something going wrong in the audio chain.

They're not all doing it. Just the ones mentioned. All the rest, co-anchors etc are fine.
