From the producers of" the Deadliest Catch".

This is a good place to drop general and weird news, entertainment, and general show prep material that might be interesting to air talent or producers. Hot dog threads ALWAYS welcome.

If the place caves-in and the miners & film crew survive, they can keep rolling. THAT'S entertainment.

Interesting ( and good ) that they chose northern WV.

Looks like the producers did not want to stray far from civilization. Westchester, WVa is not far from Fairmont and I-79.
God forbid they should come to Boone County. Or Logan or Mingo.

I know why. Scab camera and production crews.

Since they are shooting in that area, I do hope they take some time for telling back stories like the Monongah Disaster or Farmington in 1968. They've done that a bit in the past on Deadliest Catch, and it was really a great part of the show.

Massey, ICG, et al would never allow access.

NOW it's being reported that the mine shoot will be in McDowell County.

How odd... I just did a Google search and this appeared:

Much better.
Still too close to the interstate.

I agree, but Boone County is too close to civilization as well with it being about an hours ride from either Charleston or Beckley.

Actually, unless they film in Grundy, civilazation has pretty much moved in the areas of mining coal.
