The day Nunley quits broadcasting will be the day I quit broadcasting and go to work for a Fortune 50 compan...

...oh nevermind.

Hey Nunley, as someone who has successfully made the transition from radio to English teacher, may I wish you luck! I'm in Roanoke, but if you want to set in on a class sometime - just let me know. I truly believe it is the most fullfilling job I've ever had. No regrets about the change.

The damn thing about Nunley as far as I'm concerned is that, in 20 years, I've spent less than an hour total in his presence or even speaking to him on the phone. Yet I've been familiar with his work both on air and as a programmer and always thought he was talented and "got it". He made Rock 105 better while he was programming it, giving it new energy and life. I thought his show was professional and well executed. I believe he was capable of succeeding in a larger market for decent dollars. I have a tremendous amount of respect for him.
And I think the first time I met him (check me on this Jay), he was doing an overnight shift at 102 and I came in and told him he sucked. I only say that to people I like Jay. You rock bud.
Go mess up some kids brains. In a good way.

Congrats...

I commend those who at some point "escaped" their rinky dink town, and choose to return to help make it a better place.

Good one Cool Breeze...I was thinking the same thing...School of Rock! And Jay...I don't know you at all, but you made Rock 105 sound good! I used to work with La Dawn Turner (a.k.a. Dawn Cox) in Indiana...and that's all I'll say about that - lol. If she ever mentioned WORX and Jeff Stone, that's me! Again, best of luck to ya!!!

If Jay is not making smartass comments, he has been turned into a tool of the establishment.
