And yet, despite all those fabulous alleged tax cuts, the economy went in the dumper ( with a net job loss of 3 million 2001-2008), while, with those incredibly high rates under Clinton, we had the most robust economy in the nation's history. Funny huh?

Gonna take longer than 18 months to overcome 12 YEARS of Republican control of the House and the Senate and 8 YEARS of Republican control of the White House combined with the continued death grip that they still have on the Supreme Court..

The only interest that the so called "Conservatives" have are the interest of the Big Businesses... Case in point the recent Supreme Court ruling allowing corporations from ANY country to spend all they want on OUR political leaders..

Meanwhile, they hide behind their jingoistic nationalism and their false piety, to Hell with the middle and the lower classes..

Unemployment benefits run out?? Tough luck cuz thats Socialism..

Using tax payer funds to subsidize Big Oil, Big Coal, overexpenditures within the military industrial complex?? Thats A OK... Cuz thats all patriotic and stuff..

Having said all that, I think that Obama is about where the Republican party was in the 1980's in terms of many of his policies... Call him what you want, but a progressive and a liberal he isn't..

When it came to stopping the elections in Florida in 2000, thus giving the Presidency to the Republicans, or the recent ruling giving Big Corps unbelievable control to fund their Manchurian Candidates, ANY party line vote is indeed a death grip...
