Send me a check and I will spend it.
"Unemployment benefits are creating jobs faster than practically any other program, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Thursday.
Talking to reporters, the House speaker was defending a jobless benefits extension against those who say it gives recipients little incentive to work. By her reasoning, those checks are helping give somebody a job.
"It injects demand into the economy," Pelosi said, arguing that when families have money to spend it keeps the economy churning. "It creates jobs faster than almost any other initiative you can name."

"Everyone Should be aware that you're just a screen grab away from infamy."

Probably a reference to the fact that 70% of the American economy comes from consumer spending. Thus, more money in consumers' pockets means more jobs.

Yes, but not sustainable economic activity. Socialists eventually run out of other people's money.

Whew. Good thing we don't have any of those here. Though it seems to work pretty well for France though. And Sweden. And Switzerland. And Denmark. And Norway. And the Netherlands. Well, I won't go on.

Really?? Who exactly do you think is going to beat him in 2012?? Palin? Romney?
Clearly on the defensive, Bush now sounds increasingly Nixonian as he basically calls the majority of the country traitors for noticing he tricked us.

Sorry.. But if this country can survive two terms of the worst president in modern history with GWB, they can survive anything..
Gonna take a while to clean up the mess caused by 12 years of Republican control of the congress, 8 years of Republican control of the White House and the continued death grip that the rightwing has on the Supreme Court.
