I had the pleasure of working with Jack at WKEE. He is truly an icon of Tri-State radio and rightfully deserves this honor.

O'Shea and his wife have two sons, including Chris who the downtown Huntington Aaron's Rent to Own Store and Jeffrey, who lives in Los Vegas.

Market leader, indeed.

Seriously though, is anyone going to this? I'd love to have an "after action report". Or maybe some industrious MU students plan on doing a video of the event. SOMETHING! This is a little too cool to miss.

Worked with Jack once.... He was dispatched to the WRVC 930 studio to, well, give this neophyte who was running the board for the first time on his own, EVER (with 15 minutes of prep) someone to talk to to do a show with. (because the terrible state of the WRVC technical plant meant the remote didn't work for an hour) He is an incredibly gracious person and a helluva lot of fun to be in studio with.

That day I literally switched the board to the remote site, got static, and, well, said "This is AM 930 WRVC Huntington, Ashland, Ironton, it's 32 degrees, and here's VAN HALEN!" I didn't have anything else to do except obey the "prime directive" which was "NO DEAD AIR!"

Anyone who ever talks to Jack would never believe he's 75. They'd think they are talking to Dick Clark.

Jack could TODAY go on the air on a Top 40 and perform. He has the talent.

I heard a rumor today that Jack is being courted by WRVC to do a late evening oldies show. And that he has issues with power reduction at night.

If they ever leave the failing sports programming they carry at night, that'd be wise.

You do realize that WRVC has an FM simulcast, with no nighttime power reduction, right?

I do. The friend that told me this said Jack mentioned FM but he (the friend) didn't understand Jack's concern about power.

(I'd make them a weekend "New oldies Show" (Free) if they'd put Jack back!
