It's just like a Holiday Inn. No wait.. it IS a Holiday Inn

This is a good place to drop general and weird news, entertainment, and general show prep material that might be interesting to air talent or producers. Hot dog threads ALWAYS welcome.

We used to say that going to prison these days is like staying at a Holiday Inn. Not sure if that's a slam on Holiday Inn, or a slam on the cushy prisons these days.

But now, work release prisoners really ARE staying at an old Holiday Inn... so I guess we were right either way...

From Wikipedia:

In absolute terms, the United States currently has the largest inmate population in the world, with more than 2½ million or more than one in a hundred adults in prison and jails. Although the United States represents less than 5% of the world's population, over 25% of the people incarcerated around the world are housed in the American prison system.
