WSAZ or WCHS???

If it's about broadcasting, radio, TV, satellite, cable, this is where to talk about it.

WSAZ or WCHS???

Post by chloesdude »

If WCHS actually mainly had news from Huntington, would they be the market leader???
Why doesn't WCHS even hardly do live shots from Huntington?? Mini studio, or newsroom???
How much longer will WOWK last???
And lastly, when will HD news get here??? With all do respect, (I'm a west virginian born and raise) west virginians aren't the smartest, and if the news went HD... they would love it even if they had analog tvs. Ratings would have to go up!!!

Just some thoughts :)

HD news here is another 5-10 years away... just too big of an investment to take if its not really needed....
Doesn't MSNBC stand for the Media that Spins the News for Barrack's Cabinet?

I don't think it is that far away.
At some point the stations will have to make an equipment change.
It would be stupid to buy non-hd capable stuff.
Switchers, grafx, distribution, monitoring, storage, cameras, playback, and test.
Well, not test as nobody seems to give a shit.
Prices for this kind of stuff have been dropping for years.
HD cable news channels will force local news to go HD.
HD will force local channels to evaluate complexions and flaws of their anchors.

What the folks would love is content, one station breaks the mould of tried and true and covers more news in more depth than any other cast. Fast paced hard hitting stories with all details so I'm not left with questions. Just a thought!

Failing that, more cleavage.
