I'll be the first to admit that we have a serious problem here, and something I've talked about for years, but I'm sure we have our own people to chastise us. I've talked to doctors who claim that the medical condition of the average American pertaining to obesity FAR outweighs any smoking issue, and that it WILL in fact break the bank soon. Yet, smokers are a much easier target because there's less of them.

Take this for instance: I shot this at Steak & Lube. The girl is about 22 years old. Her friend (out of the photo) was about half her size which isn't saying much. I used to pay 50 cents to see this in the little cheap carnivals that came to town. Now, you can stand outside of any Wal-Mart or all-you-can-eat-buffet and see it for free. Not sure what she was doing at Steak & Lube. maybe on a diet....

That's a good point. This is why deep thinking is best done in teams. I wouldn't have thought of that.

Many of those children could end up as producers and taxpayers.

We should wait until they become overweight, a smoker, an alcoholic, or show signs of a heriditary disease before we let them die. If none of those things happen we can give the health care which, well, they won't need. Holy shit! I'm a genius. I just made the total cost of health care $0.00 (except for the "talent pool").

Unfortunately, I think I just bumped up unemployment by a rather large percentage. Doctors, nurses, pharmacists, phlebotomists, and so forth can maybe get jobs as repo men and debt collectors.

No one is ever going to be covered by any form of government care, even if the bill doesn't get repealed.

Even if the government FROZE spending at this year's level, they are spending over $35K per HOUSEHOLD.

And running a trillion dollar deficit. This was before Obamacare.

The median household income is about $45K.

Before Obamacare even gets fully implemented, this means to sustain the government at 2010 levels with a balanced budged would require the median household to give up more than 75% of their income. Does anyone realistically EVER see this happening? It won't. You are a slave if you consent to working away for less than 1/4th of the worth of your labor. You don't have majority ownership of your labor.

The socialist system is doomed. It will fail, even if Obama does manage to be President for as long as FDR (which would defy the Constitution, not that this matters these days) and even if every Democrat in Congress is re-elected. It will run out of money. It's too expensive, puts too much burden on the producers, and discourages producers and encourages parasites as a result.

Who in their right mind is going to go to work if it's unprofitable?

Add to that allowing the Bush tax cuts to expire next year, plus the new Euro-style VAT they're talking about, the average family's effective taxation wil surpass 50 percent.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that this is unsustainable. Possibly leading to revolts.

Unless they confiscate everyone's firearms so we can't fight back.
