The area lacks a 24/7 real time source for news, weather emergencies, etc.

Radio is no longer reliable after 7pm or on weekends in the automation era.

There is an open opportunity to position the site as the area's "go to" source for real time updates. Keep it timely and don't let it get cluttered with useless junk.

Just my two sense.
