WOWK has been running the "LIVE DOPPLER" Stormtracker for the last five minutes without commentary or anything else. No sound.

Or did the automated news system go Terminator and kill the 3 remaining employees for this?

Not unless something strange happened at the cable company (I have TWC). I pushed "13" on the remote just before 8 to watch NCIS like always and looked at it on all three TV's in my house and it was the same (including a 15 year old Sanyo that's all old-school analog).

must be something with your cable i watched it off of dish net and it was great. NCIS very good show along with an unsual show on NCIS LA and i only watched part of The Good Wife. but everything on Dish was very good. your cable must have switched to wowk.d2.

I did get to watch them because I get WBNS from Columbus. That's just weird though, I didn't know what had happened, if it was something goofy because of the weather or what. But now I have an explanation

NCIS LA was weird -- I didn't figure they'd off two agents in short order, so I thought something was up.

My HDTV signal on Suddenlink cable is 13 (hidden up at channel 89.5) --watched both shows last night--so your cable screwed up somehow & switched to the weather radar.

This problem occurs more often than it should and it is attributable to the demodulators used by the cable companies to receive and retransmit the signal. They are constantly defaulting to the wrong channel whenever the station's signal is disrupted (either by the station going off the air momentarily, or some kind of reception problem at the cable head end).

Since it is impossible to monitor every cable system, stations are often not aware of the problem until they start getting complaints from viewers. In some cases, the cable system could be retransmitting the wrong channel for hours or even days before anyone realizes the problem.

That must explain why I'm getting three CBS offerings from WTRF again. It's a moot point to contact the cable company, as they're pulling up stakes in a few days.
