About thirty New Years eve revelers ended up spending three days at a mountain-top pub in England when they were snowed in.
They finally got out when the snowplows and "gritters" cleared the road.

Not mentioned in the story was the guy with the Jeep and snow blade who kept closing the road until he ran out of gas! :lol:

Side note:

Wonder if the pernicious American southern culture has crossed the pond--how many sand or "gritter" trucks have decals that say "Gritter done?"
