Kneejerk reactions to airline terrorists

This is a good place to drop general and weird news, entertainment, and general show prep material that might be interesting to air talent or producers. Hot dog threads ALWAYS welcome.

Kneejerk reactions to airline terrorists

Post by CoolBreeze »

Has the human race become SO stupid as to place rules like this in place after a terrorist attack?

(Dec. 26) -- Extra pat-downs before boarding. No getting up for the last hour of the flight. More bomb-sniffing dogs. Airports worldwide tightened security a day after a passenger tried to light some kind of explosive on a flight into Detroit.

The Transportation Security Administration wouldn't say exactly what it was doing differently on Saturday. It didn't need to.

Passengers getting off both U.S. domestic flights and those arriving from overseas reported being told that they couldn't get out of their seat for the last hour of their flight. Air Canada also said that during the last hour passengers won't be allowed access to carry-on baggage or to have any items on their laps.

The extra vigilance came after a man flying from Nigeria to Amsterdam to the U.S. tried to ignite a device just before the plane landed in Detroit on Friday.

CHRIST!

So.... if you cant get up for half an hour before landing... or get into your luggage and hour before landing... THAT will solve the problem?? How about someone that gets in their luggage 65 minutes before landing? Why dont these dumbasses just issue straight jackets and restraints and "Depends" adult diapers and not allow anyone up for the duration of the flight? Better yet... why not keep KNOWN terrorist bastards OFF THE DAMNED PLANE TO START WITH? Could it be "politically correctness" against Blacks or other minorities?

All baggage AND CLOTHING could be checked at the ticket counter. No carry-on of any sort. No pockets... no problems.

Some terrorist tried to kill a Saudi royal with an internal bomb.
A butthole bomb. How would the TSA check for this?

Yessirree, those pee-stained airplane seat cushions will do the trick. We can't let law-abiding citizens use the restrooms - who knows what might happen?

Now that's a security plan I can get BEHIND. Of course, I'll have to plan all my air trips around the travel schedules of super models, actresses and exotic dancers (from states other than WV).

Two of the four leaders allegedly behind the al Qaeda plot to blow up a Northwest Airlines passenger jet over Detroit were released by the U.S. from the Guantanamo prison in November, 2007, according to American officials and Department of Defense documents. Al Qaeda claimed responsibility for the Northwest bombing in a Monday statement that vowed more attacks on Americans.
