Federal Signal Online Museum

This is a good place to drop general and weird news, entertainment, and general show prep material that might be interesting to air talent or producers. Hot dog threads ALWAYS welcome.

If you were ever a police officer, firefighter, paramedic, or in the two-way radio installation and repair business, this should bring back a boatload of memories. Federal Sign & Signal (later "Federal Signal Corporation") was the premier manufacturer of mechanical and electronic vehicle sirens back in the day. The second page details some of the other guys, such as Tripp-Lite, North American, Unitrol, Sireno, Yankee, Motorola, Dominator, Carson (a.k.a. Southern VP and Whelen), and the venerable General Electric Power Call. This guy has some .mp3 sound clips attached to the Federal page.

Where else but the internet.

:)
Translators are a Pox on the FM radio dial.
