Big time Press coverage for a Chump
CHARLESTON, W.Va.--Taking a break between practices, Rand native and NFL star Randy Moss made a quick trip into Charleston to try to make Thanksgiving a little better for 50 local families.

OK.. Randy Moss stops in Charleston to give away turkey dinners, ala Frankie Veltri. In my opinion, 50 lousy dinners from a multi millionaire is both CHEAP and WAY too much publicity for such a small donation.

But, with all due respect, he DID do something, which is, in this case, more than a lot of other "multi millionaires" did. How many of his teammates did nothing of this type? Not that I'm defending Randy. He doesn't need me to do that, and I'd not be inclined to do so, anyway. But, fair is fair and, all things considered, he could have put that money into other "investments" that would have been nowhere near as beneficial to anywhere near as many people.CoolBreeze wrote:In my opinion, 50 lousy dinners from a multi millionaire is both CHEAP and WAY too much publicity for such a small donation.

I just wish that he would act like an adult man,
not like a juvenile street thug.

He was too busy standing around on the left side of the formation while Brady was throwing to Faulk on the blown 4th and 2 in Indianapolis.

We all do something... every damned day we show up for work and pay our taxes to give to those same people Moss did. I suggest that I personally fed 10 times more people than Moss, and without the publicity.jag wrote:But, with all due respect, he DID do something,

Randy has not been arrested in a couple years.
That has to count for something.

Indeed, you are correct. And, given that Randy also pays "taxes to give to those same people," then it seems that what he did was above and beyond what the rest of us might be able to take credit for.CoolBreeze wrote:We all do something... every damned day we show up for work and pay our taxes to give to those same people Moss did. Charitable generosity is not something that most people even seek publicity for. Perhaps he just got it because he's a bit of a celebrity, for right or wrong reasons.
