You have the right to believe what you want to believe. Muslims have the right to believe what they want to believe. Would you outlaw all religions but yours? Would you make yours the state religion? And what punishment would you suggest for those who don't believe as you do?
Will you die for your religion as Christ asked, by "turning the other cheek"? For if you are a true Christian you cannot respond to Islamic extremism with violence. If you would truly follow Christ, you need to be prepared to go all in. That includes dying for your faith without resorting to violence. Like Christ did. Like St. Peter did. Like St. Paul did.

Jesus STOPPED the people from stoning the adulteress, and used the occasion to give us an object lesson. No Christian I have ever heard of stoned an adulteress. Because you can misrepresent what the Bible says does not mean that a real concrete meaning cannot be obtained from it. Yes you can cherry-pick. No, that doesn't make you just as right.

Would I outlaw all religions? No. I am a Christian and an American, and my Christian faith and the faith of my fathers has gotten America to the place where you can practise your religion in freedom. Muslims have no such compunction, and are trying to kill people to stop us from worshipping any other than Allah. And therefore I point out again, that the Islam that you seem to be defending, you can judge by it's fruits, and Christianity you can jusge by it's fruits, which in this case is the fact that generally you can walk down the street in this Christian-influenced country and not get blown up by somebody trying to be a better Christian.

There are some Christian "dominionists" who want to forcibly turn our government into a theocracy and govern by scripture over the constitution, but this is a small minority of Christians, and at that, very few of them would strap bombs on themselves and run into a crowd to attempt to accomplish this...

And this is still far different from simply wanting one's values and morals represented by government. This is democracy, by definition.

As CB pointed out, a Christian can't be a true Christian if he doesn't follow the New Testament... it just can't be. You can claim you are a Christian, but when you break from the teachings of Christ, you are not a practicing Christian

Yet, the very reason for Christ is because we all fall short of his teachings. So, in a sense, none of us are "practicing Christians" even if we try.
