CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — Six West Virginia communities are being honored for their efforts to beautify and clean up their corporate limits.
Beech Bottom, Bluefield, Dunbar, Fayetteville, Ranson and West Union were named Friday as the winners of the 2009 Clean Communities Award.
Each community will receive two road signs designating them as clean communities.
The program is part of the Make It Shine program within the state Department of Environmental Protection.

Wow. How the hell didn't Lewisburg make the top of the list? It's the cleanest little town I've ever been in WV; of course, downtown is so clean because the hippies and art galleries don't attract the indigents.
