Ok... who's the only one here that didn't suspect a Muslim as the shooter down in Texas when you first heard the story?

Twelve people have been killed and 31 wounded in a shooting spree at a Texas military base in a murderous rampage that officials believe was carried out by an Army officer.

The suspected gunman was identified by ABC News as Major Malik Nadal Hasan.

Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchinson, R-Texas, told Fox News that military sources informed her that the gunman was about to be deployed to Iraq.

The shooter was killed and two other suspects, who are also soldiers, have been apprehended, Lt. Gen. Robert W. Cone said.

Hasan allegedly opened fire and killed 11 people on the base before he was shot, bringing the total number of fatalities to 12.

Several years ago, that included retaining a lawyer and making inquiries about whether he could get out of the Army before his contract was up, because of the harassment he had received as a Muslim.

Being a Muslim may or may not have a bearing on this case. (but I think it will.. big time)

None the less, he was obviously another psychiatrist nut case that had serious issues. I was talking to a doctor friend of mine a few minutes ago and she told me that people in that profession (psychiatry) had a propensity for suicide or lashing out towards others. She said that people interested in the subject of psychiatry often have a very "personal" reason for becoming one themselves. In other words, they're trying to discover themselves why they're nuts.

It could be a combination of both of the above issues, but I'm still going for the first one.

You can banter about it all you want....but a Muslim sworn to the Koran is automaticaly an enemy of the state. Any state, any nation for the Koran accepts no law above it. Everyone is an "infidel" unless you're a Muslim. And a Muslim can do anything they want to an "infidel". Unlike other religions and cults, Islam's only goal is to dominate by force.

You have GOT to be kidding me. In this day and age, anytime I hear of ANY disturbance in the armed forces I think "Muslim". When I hear of ANY unusual disturbance, I think "Muslim". This isnt 1975 or even 1985. This is the day of the terrorist, and while I dont see one under every rock like some may, I sure as hell think terrorist when anything out of the ordinary happens. Most would be wise to think the same... today.
