As reported by various news outlets, Positive Alternative Radio's Joy FM studio for WPJY (Blennerhassett, WV) caught fire early on Saturday morning. It is a shared office building and luckily it doesn't appear that the portion of the building that we are located in was damaged by the fire. It appears the studio facilities only experienced smoke, water and retardant damage. The station should be returning to the airwaves by Monday morning.

I pray you guys are able to recover quickly. No station should have to suffer a loss due to fire.
Isn't most of your programming a rebroadcast from down South??? Can't you get back on air from the Transmitter location?
Doesn't 88.1 The River also orginate from this location? or do you run that totally from the "transmitter site" ?

Joy FM rebroadcasts our stations in North Carolina but we do local insertion of underwriting from our Belpre studio. We'll be back up in the morning after doing a lot of cleaning at the studio. The River originates from our studios in Point Pleasant, WV.
