WMOV 1360, The Voice of the Mid Ohio Valley, is looking for dynamic Account Executives who can ring the cash register. The pay is straight commission, but the ownership of WMOV believes the more money we make, the more you make, so we have a sliding commission scale, based on sales volume. In other words, the more you sell, THE MORE YOU MAKE!

WMOV has recently completed power and equipment upgrades and now reaches both the Parkersburg and Charleston, WV markets, as well as several counties in Ohio. This is all new territory for us, so the sky is the limit. Tired of the big corporate red tape? Great! We’re an independent, with an ownership team that’s hands on. You’ll have all the freedom and latitude you’ll need to create and sell to your potential. We’ll even start you off with a modest client list that will kick start your relationships with local businesses in the community.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:
• Calling/prospecting/developing new leads and turning them into clients
• Generate creative, custom tailored proposals for prospective clients based on their specific needs
• Closing the deal by selling sponsorships and advertising for WMOV programs and events
• Act as liaison between clients and the station
• Collect payments due to the station as needed (most folks just send the check each month!)
• Attend weekly sales meetings
• Meet or exceed monthly goals and prosper greatly

Here’s what you need to be, so you can do what you need to do:
• Well organized
• Computer literate
• Self motivated
• Excellent Oral/Written/Presentation skills and great “people skills”
• Reliable Transportation

Is there any money to be had by allowing one of those stations with the Movin' format to obtain the call letters WMOV-FM?

Hmmm. Interesting idea. We'd sell it like an internet domain name. I wonder how well that would do, given how often stations change programming. For us - WMOV is "the Voice of the Mid Ohio Valley". MOV = Mid Ohio Valley. It's been that way for 50 years (not that I've owned it that long, but when I blow all the dust off the documents in the old files, that's what I find).

I will definitely ponder upon this. I'm not married to the call letters.
