One Big Ass Concert

This is a good place to drop general and weird news, entertainment, and general show prep material that might be interesting to air talent or producers. Hot dog threads ALWAYS welcome.

These are today's times, Monday is almost the same.
Authorities suggest you get there at dawn. Pick one.
Rain expected. Are strip mines prone to be muddy?

11am estimate by Department of Transportation/WV......15,000 people.
Light traffic at that time, no problems.
Ted Nugent talking 2nd Amendment at this time.

Watching some rotund country singer right now. Looks to be raining, a tad soggy.

That is the only part of the event that interested me.

Somebody got a "post mortum" of the event to give, or are they still stuck there trying to get out?

OK, having been there through all the mud and muck till it closed let me say this. First of all there were about (at peak) 75,000 thousand or so there. There were no problems that I'm aware of. If there were protesters I never saw them. The rain kept a lot away , I think. All and all no major problems. The highlight musically for me was Hank and Nugent doing "Cat Scratch Fever". John Rich was good. He had Cowboy Troy with him which was a surprise. Other than that all was good. I'm still trying to get the mud off me.
