been to sheetz many times over the years, love em, never heard of the WaWa before....

While originally a BIG fan of Sheetz coffee, I noticed that the WaWa coffee was better than Sheetz the last time I had some. Also I would give WaWa an advantage on the taste of their fountain soda drinks...more flavor, more carbonation.

The Sheetz adavantages are the sandwiches (especially since they have lowered their prices at some locations) and the other MTO foods. The Sheetz disadvantages are the now having to have to pay up front before picking up foods and the fact that some stores recruited EVERY employee from the dark side of a slasher movie.

Worst Sheetz store wise? Bentleyville, PA.
Worst Sheetz employee wise? Star City, WV
Since my WaWa experiences are of a much lower sampling, I would say all the ones that I have been to (Manheim, King Of Prussia, Ambler and Center City) have all been good. I do remember the customers in the Center City one making me never want to go back to that one again...

I do know that Wawa is a regional thing. I am eager to see how this plays out in the DC area. Sheetz and Wawa rarely compete unlike Turkey Hill which is co-mingled with Wawa and Sheetz in south central PA. I know that Wawa is my favorite, but people that live in western PA have a different opinion than me.

I do remember the customers in the Center City one making me never want to go back to that one again...

You obviously have not visited the Erie Ave. Wawa in Kensington, Phila. It is flat out spooky at hours.

The King of Prussia Wawa and me are good friends. I have been there many times and may be there this weekend as well. (I am spending lots of time there and not in Philly.)

My favorite Wawa is the Bristol Pike location in Andalusia PA. I had an iPod stolen off my belt there. But the kind people that are there everyday tried to get it back for me by posting signs and posting my reward offered. I even met Howard Stoeckel (CEO of Wawa) yesterday morning as he was seeing how their experimental coffee station was working out. (They use vacuum urns like those at Panera Bread and Teavana insted of Bunn burners and coffee pots.) I also have become hooked on their new organic Peruvian blend coffee released in the last month. Even today's lunch was a pepperoni pizza flatbread which was really good. And my car runs well on Wawa fuel but I have to go to another Wawa to get gas because it is not at the Bristol Pike location..
