They should take that cop and put her in the UFC Octagon with the biggest fighters in the league and let them use her as a whipping toy for about 20 minutes. Then do not provide any STD or medical coverage for the recovery period. That would break rogue cops from sucking eggs.

When did the cop check her ID to know she was 80 years old, or is this retrospect information?
Why was whatever was going on prior to their arrival important enough to video tape?
Anyone on this forum have any questions as to whether or not they should pull a knife on a cop?
If, as the author suggests, they had "just tazed her", would this same bitch fest be taking place?

Lesson #1: When the cops tell you to put down a knife, put it down. Immediately. And without hesitation.
A knife wound from an 80 year old woman can hurt or kill you just like it can from a 25 year old ex-con.
I have NO PROBLEM with the officer's action. None at all.

A knife is a knife. And this was a knife in the hands of someone already agitated enough to have a passer-by start running video of her.

I'd say things are not as cut and dried as "80 year old grandmother clipping her fingernails gets punched by evil cops".

The police were called in because the 80 year old grandma had assaulted a young child in the parking lot just before she drew the knife. This means the police came in to an assault with an armed and dangerous person. That said, they needed to relieve her of the knife. Was the action necessary, probably not, but because of the assault and wielding a knife......

Hindsight is 20/20.

I still think the she cop was a pig for making that move and deserves suspension pending an investigation.
