the end of an ugly ugly shoe....

This is a good place to drop general and weird news, entertainment, and general show prep material that might be interesting to air talent or producers. Hot dog threads ALWAYS welcome.

Caused by an article in Newsweek last summer (tongue firmly in cheek) where columnist decried the ugliness of Crocs. July 27 issue.

Ugh... Crocs should have never left the garden. Only good for scaring away snails. Good riddance.

No worries, mates. There are plenty of generic knock-offs to keep the style around for years to come.

I always thought Croc's were kind of, well, you know, gay.
At best they were stupid looking.

I guess I should clarify.
I normally wear them around the house.
Sneakers or casual leather/canvass shoes outside the home for personal time.
Dress shoes for dress up time.
Crocs became my new house slipper. I don't wear them everywhere.

I'm a fat guy, so crocs and other crossover apparel are definitely off limits.
I've got a nice pair of brown leather mandals that I really like, though.

I have always said that "you can lay a million dollars down on the bar and tell me it's mine if would just drink a beer" and I wouldn't do it.

Wearing a pair of Crocs would be right behind that...

I always hated those things...

New Balance, Nike, and Sketchers skate/running shoes for me. Everywhere. Year round.

I love Nike, Asics, and Adidas running shoes.
K-Swiss has an awesome cross trainer.
Sketchers are hit or miss with me. I hate those Skateboard Fag shoes that make your feet look 12 inches wide.
New Balance shoes are for balding, middle age business dorks who decide they'd better hit the gym before it's too late.
Reebok ... uh, well ... somebody still thinks it's 1983.

But what do I know. I have a pair of Crocs.
