The Best Place In West Virginia

This is a good place to drop general and weird news, entertainment, and general show prep material that might be interesting to air talent or producers. Hot dog threads ALWAYS welcome.

Lesage is also nice.
We lived in Greenbottom back in the early 70s...nice area.
America is at that awkward stage.

What? I get NO support on the "Fuck Virginia" thing? None? My rock solid, unassailable, undeniable argument isn't enough for you? Let's talk money then. Take a minute to think of the marketing on this. Do you have any idea how much merchandise we can sell? Think about the free media we'll get when the talking head douchebags decide this is their outrage of the month. We can fund Promise Scholarship and cut the food tax by half a percent.

Someone contact their state legislator, please. They won't take my calls anymore.

Not too familiar with the Lesage/Greenbottom area, other than I drive through there from time to time. Doesn't seem to be much there, but the view of the Ohio River sure is beautiful. I liked Ceredo because it is the quintessential Mayberry. The town is clean. No welfare government housing projects. No bars or hard liquor sales. A nice sized shopping center. A small, efficient city government that provides essential services. One or two cops on duty at any time and they know everybody. The absolute best volunteer fire department and EMS in West Virginia. Several nice places to eat. A few churches. You can walk everywhere. People are friendly. And you're 10 minutes from Huntington or Ashland, and 5 minutes from Interstate 64 or Tri-State Airport.

South Point (Ohio) would probably be second place, except that you have to drive to Coal Grove or Chesapeake, then cross the Ohio River to get anywhere you really need to go.

Jay...I agree with you...I've spent more time in VA than I'd like...from their odd looking cigarette tax stamp to the airborne-enforced speed limit, I strongly agree. Give me WV interstates and high speeds any day.
