Good find. I believe they did a better job of explaining the differences between HDTV and NTSC in 1989 than the industry has done to date.

In the mid 70's there were reports in Broadcast Engineering on 3D holograms from video tape and film. 3D color too, but color was unstable. Now the technology seems to be stuck with glasses at the movies (50's tech.)
