Critics Cringe at Ad for Burger King's Latest Sandwich

This is a good place to drop general and weird news, entertainment, and general show prep material that might be interesting to air talent or producers. Hot dog threads ALWAYS welcome.

Critics Cringe at Ad for Burger King's Latest Sandwich
A print advertisement in Singapore boasts that Burger King's latest sandwich will "blow your mind away."
An advertisement for Burger King's latest sandwich leaves little to the imagination and should be discontinued due to "distasteful" and unappetizing references to oral sex, advertising experts told FOXNews.com.

Oh yes, the fun of international advertising! The wide-eyed shock in the woman's eyes is a nice touch.

I think Burger King has missed the mark for over a decade with their whole US and foreign advertising plan.
Wendy's went down that road briefly, but managed to salvage their message before it was too late.

It's not the greatest ad, but I'm far from offended.

Maybe if the critics got more, um, you know -- they wouldn't be so uptight about it.

Oh yeah, save the children, and all of that.

I've found BKs advertising offensive and unappealling for quite some time, ever since big-head came in. They must please the grass set, but they just irritate me.

I've noticed that post-Dave THomas Wendy's is starting to drift in direction, to. I can't see DT approving asian wingdings.

Looks to me like Wendy's is rudderless out there, trying to 'find themselves'. While he could be a little corny, Dave Thomas kept the Wendy's message simple and sincere. Yes, I actually read his autobio..I'm a nerd, sue me. 8)

The nasty little secret with BK & it's Ad agency (Crispin)...while they've actually increased market share since Crispin took over, they continue to lose ground to McDonald's. Of course, McD's is pretty good with sticking to it's message, too.
