WRVC-AM (930) and WRVC-FM (94.1) are now 'Huntington's Super Talk'. They carried the Metronews Morning News show during morning drive. Hoppy's Metronews Talkline was still on from 10 AM - Noon. Ed Schultz's show ran from Noon - 3 PM. Currently the Insider Sportsline is on as usual (4 PM - 5 PM), then according to wrvc.am the Insider Statewide will be on 5 PM - 6 PM - again as it has been.
As far as what will be on the rest of the day or in the times I've left out, who knows? When you click on the 'ON-AIR' or 'SCHEDULE' links on the website, you get a page with a link to enter a contest at MyMickeyDs.com to win McCafe beverages. No show schedules that I could find.
The 'MEDIA' link brings up the pod-o-matic podcast page, and there is an entry for a 'Viewpoint' episode for today, so I'm guessing Jean Dean was on at 9 AM - 10 AM today.
There is a link at the top to register as an 'Insider', but there's no indication as to why one should.....
Clicking on 'LOCAL SPORTS' gives a blank page, as does clicking on 'CONTACT US'. Clicking on 'ESPN LINKS' gives links to the Herd Insider, the Dawg and the Planet, not anything ESPN-related

Re: WRVC is now Huntington's Super Talk
Now from their webpage:
And right before that:With the change to supertalk, there are a few changes to our line-up. Our popular ESPN Radio will still be on the air from 6PM til 6AM. 6AM til 9AM now features the Morning News from WV Metronews, with local coverage by our own Nate Gilcher. Viewpoint with Jean Dean is moving to the 9AM timeslot, with a rebroadcast of the 9AM show at 3PM. Metronews Talkline is remaining in its 10am to Noon timeslot, while the popular Ed Schultz is moving over from sister station WCMI to take over the Noon to 3pm slot. Woody Woodrum is sticking with us in his 4pm to 6pm slots with the Insider Sportline at 4pm, and on the ISP Sport Network the Insider Statewide. We hope you enjoy the new SUPERTALK 94.1FM & 930AM - WRVC.
http://www.wrvc.com/Welcome to the new SUPERTALK! WRVC AM 930 was the first station licensed to WV and has been in continuous operation since 1923! Through a series of upgrades, WRVC has the largest coverage area of any station in our region - day or night. WRVC's FM can be found at 94.1 and covers an area from Catlettsburg, KY to Milton, WV! 94.1 is the second station in our market to be awarded an FCC license of this type and the first station in the market approved by the FCC to fully simulcast an AM on the FM band! Translation: You can now listen to 930 AM on 94.1 FM any time, night or day!

Re: WRVC is now Huntington's Super Talk
That wasn't visible to me when I went to WRVC.AM. Still you'd think the schedule would be under schedule....
So the only real change is the Metronews Morning News instead of Mike & Mike, and the Ed Schultz show moving from WCMI to the supertalk stations and replacing the last hour of Cowherd & the Mike Tirico-Scott Van Pelt show. Then there's the obvious decision to yield to the overwhelming demand from the public who couldn't stand having only one hour of Jean Dean per day....
I assume when Marshall FB & BB is in season, the games, pre-games and coaches' shows will be on both 94.1 FM and the Dawg.

Weak schedule.
Get the best hosts that WVHU doesn't have. Such as Laura Ingraham, Michael Savage, Mark Levin, etc.

Re: WRVC is now Huntington's Super Talk
Was checking the signal of 94.1 around the tri-state...The coverage outside of Huntington is limited..
Heading south down 152 once you're over German Ridge it's pretty much none existant..930 even on 1kw
is better..Same to west.. Catlettsburg is the limit..East between I 64 29th. exit and Barboursville.. So
this begs the question what is the purpose of the Fm translator?..Especially if its 24 hour simalcast of RVC am..
I guess it's purpose is to serve Marshall Big Green types who drive suv's and only listen XM Sirus or Fm and wouldn't lower themselves to listen to am on their car sound systems...

The coverage-area is over a population of 80,000 people.
Thanks for test-driving both signals. That's damn-near a P1.
