Even Mr. Martin would be the first to tell you that it is, and always will be, a business. When he sold 93.7 (the real) WAMX, to Stoner, he had several offers for the station prior to Stoner, but they made a great offer he could not turn down. Mrs. Martin, who was at the annoucement of the sale, said it was like (paraphrasing here, after all it has been over 20 years) "losing a child". They had turn an FM that simulcasting the popular AM, into a stand alone powerhouse.
Relax Mike, I agree liberal talk is boring and a waste of programming, but it is not the Martin's family station.

Sadly they've moved that to 930/94.1.
When will they learn. I could go on there and not even do show prep and get more ratings than any of the crap on there. Which is saying something since I have a crappy voice and I am a geek.
24/7 flatulence recordings would achieve higher ratings than what Kindred is putting on there. I know their management are libs. Need to overcome that if you want ratings...
Hell, why not do what WLGC did and put 80's on 930/94.1?
I guarantee that this would get more ratings points than 930/1340 could get with the crap on there now.

They did NOT move Air America from WCMI to the new 930AM/94.1. As Cameron told you, it is GONE. Kaput. Period.
Next time, actually listen to the station before and after a format change before making such an observation.

1340 is carrying at least some WV Power games. That makes sense - put a Charleston minor league team maybe 5 people in Huntington care about on an Ashland signal that can't hardly be heard in Huntington after sundown.
