Wouldn't these dealers have gone away even if the government had no involvement?
They were doomed anyway.

I have a problem with them taking gubmint money, THEN doing this. They should have been allowed to sink without my tax dollars since, as you pointed out, they were going to sink anyway.

But, Lester, then the gubmint wouldn't have had control of them and the unions and their bosses wouldn't have been rescued!
