I made it to the Funnybone recently. First time at Pullman.

I loved the whole "clean" ambient atmosphere there. Places like that are rare in WV. Beats the outdated ratshacks you find anywhere else.

Even after midnight, there were people everywhere. Many were just walking around enjoying the evening.

Guess I should've "kept it real" and went can shooting with Jimbob instead.

Whenever I've been to Pullman, I've enjoyed it. The Funny Bone is the place to be. I've always wanted a comedy club around here, too bad there isn't more. Some friends, my girlfriend and I went there a few months back and it was awesome. I forgot the comedian's name, but she was on Last Comic Standing and I laughed so hard I almost hyperventilated.

But you can't please everybody around here. If it ain't Wal-Mart, it ain't shit!

I always thought Pullman was a great facility. Parking problems yeah, but to see something directed back downtown is great. Glad to see the Funny Bone is surviving. It's a great venue.

Why all the complaining? Pullman Square is a great place.
But if Huntingtonians would rather go back to that lovely empty lot that was there a few years back, hey, it's your town.

Ac, I am not "complaining" about Pullman. Like you, I believe it is a great place to take the kids to a movie, or hit the comedy club with some friends. However, once the cinemas open at the mall, I believe 50 to 60% of Pullman's traffic will die. As a result, most of the business that are there now will also die.

Having said that, once they lower the rent to a level that appeals to low-end retail (such as the tobacco, pawn, and lottery shops), and you know they will, Huntingtonians WOULD rather go back to an empty lot.

I aint disagreeing with you, I am just saying this is the reality.

However, I give them (or the Huntington PD, whoever) props for running off the vagrants. It is nice to park and walk down to BW3 or something without being molested by the town dunks.

I guess I'm just speaking from the point of view of a guy who lives in a town where Walmart is upscale retail and Bob Evans is a five-star restaurant (no disrespect to Bob's).
