Oh boys, boys, boys. We throw around terms like "socialism" and "communism" like anything that's happening in this country remotely approaches either. That means you're either just using them as buzzwords or you really don't know what either term actually means.

No......the former requires socialism as a starting point (you'd know that if you knew what you were talking about), and the latter is not a word.

If you've ever read history Arp, you'd know that fascism did not arise from socialism in either Germany or Italy pre WW II.
You might also check the number of times the US gov't has leant and/or invested money in US businesses in the past 200 years. You may be surprised how many times it's happened.

But you can't fault a guy for liking "They Live".

I am not an O'Reilly fan to be honest.

He sucked on radio as well, unlike fellow FNC hosts Hannity and Beck...

I think he will be on his way out soon, no way in HELL Ailes leaves Beck in that 5PM EST slot with the huge ratings he's getting out of it for much longer, when he can get BIGGER ratings (and revenue) if moved into prime time.

I disagree. OReilly was great on radio. Hannity sucks on radio. Beck is quite good on radio. I've only seen a few minutes of him on TV. He wasn't crying at the time.

I gotta say, I'm not impressed with Hannity's radio show...especially when I get the impression that it's a 3 hour promotion for his TV show. 'Make sure you tune into Hannity tonight on Fox News, 9pm, where we'll be talking with yadayada..', ad nauseum. I thought O'Reilly wasn't bad at all, he just couldn't compete in that timeslot. I think Fred Thompson will do ok, but the problem isn't their talent, it's their competition. Love or hate him, Rush Limbaugh IS a radio guy and the production and entertainment components of his show are hard to conquer.

Hannity's radio show is the worst of the mix, IMO. He doesn't entertain the way a good radio program should. On the other hand, I have been a pretty loyal Beck listener for quite a while---especially in his earlier years when his show was not really politically driven. While is TV show is OK, I think he made a mistake going on TV.

Beck was a lot more entertaining when he was doing CHR mornings in Baltimore.

Hannity's show is a drivetime show where you'd assume more cume and less TSL, and it sounds like it. And, no, he doesn't have the raw talent Rush does (or Glenn or several others), but he works his tail off and creates a show that provides definite value in exchange for time invested.

Oh, I have no doubt Hannity's an incredibly hard worker..he has many irons in the fire.
