I'm thinking that like everything else, it will become ineffective with repeat exposure.

I was disoriented for all of two seconds looking at the pic.

It's not for speeders--this is a trap for drunks.

There is a hidden camera aimed at this section of the road--anyone trying to follow the zig-zag line is flagged down and arrested for dui...

Or a way to really mess with owners of the latest Mercedes S Class which has sensors to follow road lines and drive itself.

Although that option might not be available in the States, but some diplomat from Europe could bring the big Merc from across the pond.
