Online Radio Grows

As many here have predicted.

"We are the CC Borg. Lower your shields and surrender your broadcast stations. We will add your biological and creative distinctiveness to our own. Your broadcast personality will adapt to service us. Resistance is futile."

The researchers concluded, among other things, that radio's digital platforms "provide advertisers with new touch points to reach consumers," that Americans are exercising more control over their use of media; and that audio content providers should not ignore the explosion of online video or social networking.
That is key.

It will get even worse for those who charge subscriptions (satellite radio) and commercial heavy broadcast radio once wireless broadband becomes even more ubiquitous. Which will happen within the next 5 years.

The future broadcast medium is the internet. Over the air will survive only via localism. Or as providers of internet connectivity.

I think I predicted this some time back...
"Show me just what Muhammad brought that was new and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached"

Just a little research:

and

I think these guys are on the right track. I emailed them yesterday & haven't gotten a response back yet.

this is going to blow up big before long!Unless somebody screws over the little guy this could be a good thing. My mom could start a station for as little as 10 bucks minus ASCAP, BMI, SESAC & etc.

We record each show and post it online as a podcast. We have it syndicated through Black Vault Radio Network and just joined another syndication network that has 3.8 million subscribers. If you post your shows with an RSS feed, people can subscribe to you and automatically receive each show you put up.. can even get you on itunes. It is a pretty simple way to increase your listenership. Internet radio IS what the world is moving towards.

Hosting can also be found pretty cheap!
