Re-branding? Re-imaging? New Product Release?

I does not really matter because I have to say that the product is really good. I like it as well as the Original Recipe although, I do not think that it is much healthier than the fried version. Keep in mind that properly fried foods do not absorb much oil (only a couple of grams) due to the moisture in the food forming steam which keeps the oil from being soaking into the chicken, fish, etc...

The grilled chicken still has the skin on the pieces and the skin has been proven to contain the majority of the chicken's fat calories.

No, we have gone to the dogs because we have kept this thread only on KFC Chicken and not a comparison between KFC, Bojangles, Popeyes, Church's and a few other brands that are more regional and local.

The nutrition figures on KFC's own site do not agree with you. An original recipe breast has:


Calories: 360
Total Fat (gms): 21
Carbohydrates (gms): 7
Dietary Fiber (gms): 0

The grilled breast has:

Calories: 180
Total Fat (gms): 4
Carbohydrates (gms): 0
Dietary Fiber (gms): 0

Half the calories and 80 PERCENT less fat. And the grilled has NO carbs. None.

I will have to say that KFC has a hit on their hands. It took me three trips this past week to KFC down the street from HEX HQ to get grilled chicken for lunch. There was plenty of original and extra crispy. And for $3.99 for the value meal, that is less expensive than the cafeteria at the office. Can't beat that.
