Former Congressman Turned Convicted Felon Returning To Spotlight


Former congressman turned convicted felon Bob Ney is returning to the Ohio Valley Monday through a new radio show.

Ney is the former Republican leader who resigned from office amid a bribery scandal back in 2006. His new radio show will be on WVLY AM 1370, weekdays from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Through his new radio show, Ney is expected to talk about his experiences on Capitol Hill and provide his own personal spin on the news of the day.

Ney pleaded guilty to a felony bribery charge and was linked to the Jack Abramoff scandal in 2006. Ney was sentenced to 30 months in prison but was released after 17 months.

Before the felony bribery charge, Ney was known for bringing money and help to the Valley.
