By the way, please try to make sure that PSAs are PSAs. At this point, the vast majority are really brainwashing, propaganda, and political indoctrination; a few -- the Narconons being the most prevalent -- are recruiting tools for cults.

I've noticed my local TV stations will fill occasional unsold slots with event info for local arts groups (community theater or orchestra type things), other nonprofits, or with job fair information, instead of running generic PSA's. It's usually just a static slide with a voiceover that looks fairly easy to produce.

A lot of the Ad Council stuff is junk, for the reasons discussed above. Another one I don't understand is any LPFM or Class D that runs any PSA produced by the NAB or state broadcasters association. No sense doing "public service" for organizations that dislike your very existence.

Man, Greenbrier county is ramp-happy!! One of my first, and favorite, on-site jobs was on the Classic Rocker outta Beckley...drove in a '67 VW microbus to White Sulphur to do a ramp festival at the old folks home. Had a blast, tho..first time I ever tried ramps. I avoided them like the plague..but, they're not too bad raw. If you have a stalker, eat some ramps...better than garlic on a vampire.
