This is a good place to drop general and weird news, entertainment, and general show prep material that might be interesting to air talent or producers. Hot dog threads ALWAYS welcome.
A Nevada FM radio station recieved "drug bust" style treatment Tuesday as California State police acted on a cease and desist order filed localy by the FCC. The order, issued Monday, says the station, famous for the tag line "all sex , all the time", not only broke civil statutes by having a situation where most station employee were naked on the job, but also violated federal law when "a price list for sex acts" was broadcast on the air and the simul-cast of the station on the internet.
A spokesperson for the station said Tuesday, "Money for sex is not illegal here. We don't see the problem." Federal officials beg to differ. Although the station is licensed to a town in Nevada, the studios are located in California.
Eight employees and the station manager were booked and released on bail. The station is reported to be airing "national network music" now.
