2009 WVBA Awards

Post by Kitesgot »

Weren't they held Saturday night in Charleston?
What happened?
Was it cancelled?
Nobody that visits this site attended?
I would've thought it would've been posted within an hour of the actual event.

I would not have gone anyway.
They don't honor engineers.

Had you been there, you would have learned that statement is not true. There was a new award introduced this year to honor the late John McKinney. John was the inaugural winner and it is an award that will stand in the future to honor engineers/I-T people in the radio or television industry in West Virginia. I can't remember the exact name, but it's something like the "John McKinney Memorial Award."

It is fitting that an award was dedicated to John Mckinney.
I hope future winners live up to his legacy.

Someone give me a headcount on WVRC engineers so we'll know when someone else is eligible for that?

Dude.... FUNNY.

Regardless, I'm glad to see there is an engineering award, and that John's name will forever be associated with it. EXCELLENT choice.

I'm sure I couldn't beat you, but since you don't attend, I could be a lock next year.

I'm joking, of course, I'm not even in the line. But my money would go on Noel Richardson, no matter who enters or is nominated.

My bosses at RR never took me to the WVBA Awards Night. Of course, in order to win a WVBA Best Spot News Coverage award for election night coverage two years in a row, it required someone doing the live reporting from the courthouse. That person was me, but alas all I got to do is touch the award when it was delivered to the office.

What is the criteria for being nominated, exactly? And who does the nominating?

Because I'm one step closer to inventing the Radildo. It's a combination radio and dildo.

Several misspellings (did I spell that wrong?) but you get the idea:
