I can remember when WSAZ had the top 30 programs in the ratings. (1967 or so)
At that time WSAZ's midday news rated higher than any program on 8 or 13.

The others are playing for second, and it's a good race. Sinclair's ABC outlet WCHS won primetime and was runner-up in total day and evenings. Cunningham's Fox affiliate WVAH, whose news is produced by WCHS, had the second-best late news with its 10 p.m. program. The market's other player is West Virginia Media-owned CBS affiliate WOWK, which GM John Fawcett says is focusing on its digital platforms and growing its 7 p.m. news."

Perhaps they're adding the badly needed Univision network? All the other WVMH stations have major network sub-channels, and Spanish networks are the only ones left for WOWK to choose from?
WOWK seems to be using contract channels on local cable systems for the "other" CBS game.
That broadcast in in standard definition (480i).
WOWK 13.2 (480i) is simulcasting the HD game from 13.1.

13 still not in HD on Time Warner Cable..I hope a lot of subscribers called and bitched after the weekend games...

No. This is laziness on the part of one party or the other. Once an analog signal powers down, the MSO is automatically empowered by the retransmission consent already in place to carry the transmission at whatever resolution it is broadcast. It certainly isn't required so I imagine TWC's failure to add the HD stream is an attempt to ruse more money out of its customers.
