Terrell Owens to be cut

This is a good place to drop general and weird news, entertainment, and general show prep material that might be interesting to air talent or producers. Hot dog threads ALWAYS welcome.

Let the T.O. media overkill begin again...

That guy is poison to a team. Look at what he did to San Fran, Bal'more, Philly, and now the Big "D". The best comment I saw was in this morning's Philly Daily News when the Eagles said they would not bring him back.

I hope someone picks him up.
If not in football, he will be an NFL analyst on TV.

Let him go to Detroit (or Cincy, or Oakland, or...)

ESPN ran a crawl stating that San Francisco might welcome him back. By the way, who's going to commit now? Why the rush? 'Pardon The Interruption' made this very point. However, several players have been cut already, while others are being picked up.

There is the risk of any free agent signing with another team if he is allowed to stay on the open market.

As for the number of teams rushing to say they have no interest in Owens, I find that quite odd. T.O. is a distraction and he's on the downward slope of his career (he turns 36 this year), but there have to be a few teams mulling over the pros and cons of bringing him on board. A buddy of mine just yesterday asked me, "Do you think the Titans will sign Owens?" He didn't say that in a sarcastic way; he was hopeful. I still think Oakland is the most likely destination given their need at WR and Al Davis' enjoyment of signing big name players, but there are a number of possibilities out there.

Owens inks 1-year, $6.5M deal with Bills
ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Terrell Owens needed only two days to find another place to play.

The Buffalo Bills decided to take a chance on the talented but high-maintenance receiver, signing Owens to a $6.5 million, one-year deal Saturday. ESPN.com's John Clayton broke the story on Saturday.
