Late Night With Jimmy Fallon

This is a good place to drop general and weird news, entertainment, and general show prep material that might be interesting to air talent or producers. Hot dog threads ALWAYS welcome.

Late Night With Jimmy Fallon

Post by Lee »

Caught the first 20 minutes or so last night.

Anyone else catch it?

I thought the opening skit with Conan was funny...but the rest? Not so much.

He looked stiff, and his jokes were not funny. The rest of the skits were not funny.

Of course, just my opinion...what'd you all think?

It was really bad. Really bad.

Had it been radio, he would have been told to stick to the liners. If it'd been a gig at a comedy club, he'd never be booked back.

Considering how dated, easy, and flat out bad the material was, it makes you wonder who's writing the show, how they got there, and how bad is the stuff to come......after all, they had months to come up with last night's jokes. The bit with the most potential was "Slow Jamz The News," but it fell utterly flat due to that bad, completely unimaginative writing and the lackluster performance of Fallon.

It sucked balls.

Did a phoner bit today about it on the air. 25 of 26 callers said it sucked balls. The one other caller just called to say he didn't watch it.

IMHO...Fallon is the WRONG choice, period.

There are better, funnier comedians out there than Fallon.

Dave Chappelle, anyone?

Ha! That was the same question I asked when they announced it.
