He's not, but he is twisted enough to fit in the same mold as me, Kidd, Nunley, etc.
Hell, even Cameron has ties to Logan. Ernie G. Anderson is from here. Greg Carter was seen drinking beer here a couple of weeks ago. In LA..its all relative.

Re: Kindred to kill WRVC-FM
Not from Logan, but when I was at 102, we used Logan as a running gag on the show ( and who hasn't). The last time I was there was in 94 when we appeared at some bar complete with on air trash talk and threats before hand. I wound up playing drums with the band for a few songs, we got hammered and...well, I don't remember the rest.
So that would make the kids 14 or so now....naaahhhh.. I can't go back.

Call-letter change only, folks.
The WRVC-FM calls have been released to accommodate another station.

It's about time you got rid of the stupid WDGG callsign.
So what is the WRVC-FM 93.3 format to be?

I've been curious about this -- when you request a call letter change, does the FCC give you a day/time when the new calls should go into effect?Cameron wrote:Call-letter change only, folks.

Re: Kindred to kill WRVC-FM
The request to change WRVC-FM to WCMI-FM was made on 2/24/2009 (the same day Cameron posted the tip on here), according to fcc.gov:

Shouldn't it be Fourth Ave Broadcasting?

WCMI-FM is the 92.7 calls beginning midnight 3/2-3/09.
With electronic-filing, you have receipt of your request and payment within minutes. As long as the call letter selection is within the scope of FCC rules, the record of the FCC's acceptance is usually available on the "effective-date". As a courtesy, you give the Commission a week from the request-date to the effective-date in order to allow them to process the cooresponding paperwork. The official notification of the call-letter change comes in the form of a postcard that can arrive days after processing. This formal notification is to be posted with the other instruments of authorization associated with the stations' licenses.Ace Purple wrote:I've been curious about this -- when you request a call letter change, does the FCC give you a day/time when the new calls should go into effect?
Then there's the Mid-March landmark, the goings-on in the weeks to follow, and then the wholesale changes late April-May.Force Commander wrote:

Re: Kindred to kill WRVC-FM
The FCC CDBS Public Access Query has been updated to the WCMI-FM calls.
The CDBS FM Query has not been updated because it relies on the daily raw CDBS database files.
I'd say it would be correct by tomorrow.
Just pretend the last 14 years didn't happen and a rock station has the heritage WCMI-FM calls again.
Your welcome.

Get the WGNT calls back on 930 and I'll build a Statue of Liberty sized monument of you right across the street from the Clear Channel studios on 4th Avenue.Cameron wrote:Just pretend the last 14 years didn't happen and a rock station has the heritage WCMI-FM calls again. Your welcome.

Re: Kindred to kill WRVC-FM
Who really cares what anyones call letters are? Will that increase listenership? Will it increase sales? I highly doubt. Will it confuse those who may or may not have had any clue what station it was before? Probably. After Nunely dropped out that was a sign - and not a good one.
Let me add, I used to like it (tribute to Nunely) but now I've come around to the Rock 105 way of thinking!!!
