Cajun Kitchen Sinks

A floating restaurant has partially sunk into the Ohio River In Guyandotte.

The Showboat Marina, formerly The Cajun Kitchen Restaurant, started taking on water around 7:30 Monday morning.

Over half of the barge is under water.

looks like WCHS got it wrong again. It was the Showboat Marina that sunk. The Cajun Kitchen was on the same barge and part of the marina. It was the Serena boat club in the past. But then why should they get it right?

The barge was just recently purchased and renovated by
some out of town person, I think.
Must not have had it inspected properly.

That's truly sad...while living in Huntington, we used to have lots of fun out there...play lotto machines, ate the best shrimp po-boys, and got to do plenty of gigs out there with Chuck Black...those were the days. I used to dream of snatching all of the dollar bills off the wall and being ghetto rich.

The Cajun Kitchen was the place to have small company Chrismats Parties before everything started going bust in Huntington in 2001. That barge rocked in December and of course, the food was always good.
