Super Bowl Ads

This is a good place to drop general and weird news, entertainment, and general show prep material that might be interesting to air talent or producers. Hot dog threads ALWAYS welcome.

Super Bowl Ads

Post by Big Media »

Is it just me, or have most of the Super Bowl ads sucked so far?

Two standouts so far.. Bud Light & Meetings, Doritos and the Crystal Ball.

That's it. The rest suck so far. It is still early, though.

No, it's not you.

I've slightly liked the horses in love, but I can't remember the product (we were in the midst of four animal spots in a row, I think). The cars.com wunderkind spot had a very solid build only to disappointingly pay off with "fears buying a car."

I'm pretty sure I saw a baby rhino's anus. Not cool.

About half and half. I liked the CareerBuilder "moose ass" one... eTrade was pretty good. Plus the ones already mentioned ("cept for the horses in love... L.A.M.E. :-) )

GI Joe... pretty cool.

I think this is the first time that Bridgestone came in as best with Mr and Mrs. Potatohead and the rims jacked on the moon rover.

Pepsico Frito Lay's Dorito Crunch was cool as well as the MacGyver spoof, but the first Pepsi ad was a total miss with me thinking it was an ad for the Nissan Cube.

I missed the 1 second ad. How???????? But I also missed all other Miller ads as well.

Here they all are...

There were quite a few that seemed off this year, but there were a few good ones.

I still love the GoDaddy ads. It's hard to go wrong with Danica Patrick being a tease in every ad.

Hyundai was a big winner tonight, too. That Genesis is pretty sweet.

But not as sweet as the Audi A6.

I'm also glad that Pepsi is still serious about Max. That's some great stuff...
