One must remember that "back then" not only were cartoons for adults, but were quite new. Moving pictures themselves wern't very old. It really was a 'different world'.
In the 50s, TV would play the more "tame" of them. I loved it! The "Cow, Cow Boogy"; "Three Little Fishes"; The crow that would musicaly interrupt the scene just by walking by; The drunk mouse and the razor...It was entertaining....exactly what it was intended to be.
