c. I am SURE they mean and think they used the word dire. Dour? At least they didn't say dower. Why do I suspect spell check struck? And ironically, dour ALMOST fits, but not in the way they think.

I think the writer (or editor) meant "dour" and was fine in making that choice....I think the mistake was made with "picture."

But, yeah, somethin' ain't quite right about that....

Reports from the Cabell County Sheriff’s Department provided the following information:

EMBEZZLEMENT: Bobbie Malone, 24, of Huntington was arrested Thursday on charges of felony embezzlement and false reporting following an incident on Nov. 11.

According to the report, Malone reported in November that she was allegedly held at gunpoint and forced to give two armed gunmen money while working at the Exxon gas station on Davis Creek Road in Huntington. The Sheriff’s Department said it determined Malone allegedly assaulted herself, stole the money and reported it as a robbery.

Malone posted $7,000 bond when she was arrested....
