Ya know what I miss?

This is a good place to drop general and weird news, entertainment, and general show prep material that might be interesting to air talent or producers. Hot dog threads ALWAYS welcome.

Ha! Sixth Street Pharmacy, 5th Street gym. It's only been 31 years...
Aircheck? You'd make a great board op.

Big Media wrote:Here an old spot. I was actually looking for a "Hills is Where the Toys Are" spot that I remember from back in the day.

Turn the audio way up on this one.

Dude! That sooooooooooooooo freakin' ruled! MAN...I miss those commercials. And I totally forgot about "Hills is where the toys are" I remember their Sunday circular was almost as big as a novel and I would sit there and stare at all the toys that were in there.

Heck's was awesome, too.

I sooooooooooooooo miss The Bluegrass in Ashland. They had the best burgers, IMHO. I used to go there after school and then blow about $10.00 worth of quarters on Pac-Man at the Ashland News...right beside Adam and Eve (always thought it was weird to have a newsstand right beside an Adam and Eve).

"LPs or cassettes" -- what a hilarious spot.

I also looked for the classic "Hills Is Where The Toys Are" television ads, without success.

I remember those spots, even though I was still a kid...

That must've been about 1987, judging from the music listed.

Love the totally rad 80s styles, too.

Sure Nunley, Kidd and maybe Gen or Cameron will remember K-City in Logan...famous for their twice a year flood sales and their huge toy department. I bought my first (and last) guitar there.

Hills for mom
Hills for dad
Hills for sis and brother
With 72 departments in one great store
Guaranteed savings that save you more
Hills for mom
Hills for dad
Hills for the family

Seems to me that these lyrics rang forth from the ol' AM radio in the car!

Also, Hills is where I first had the life-changing experience of one of those big, soft pretzels and a frozen Coke (although the frozen Cherry was even better!)
