FIRST AND LAST WARNING WEATHER!

This is a good place to drop general and weird news, entertainment, and general show prep material that might be interesting to air talent or producers. Hot dog threads ALWAYS welcome.

FIRST AND LAST WARNING WEATHER!

Post by CoolBreeze »

The weather around here is seldom an event. I mean, we don't have hurricanes or real tornadoes or earth shattering snow. Yet, the local TV stations have taken it upon themselves to scare the bejesus out of us by labeling their weather segments with frightening names like....

STORM TRACKER weather

FIRST WARNING weather

STORM TEAM weather

Christ! I'm afraid to even watch TV weather anymore! I now turn on my weather radio to avoid the possibility of dying while watching FIRST AND LAST WARNING WEATHER!

So with that in mind, I have made up a few new logos that I hope they'll use.... I mean, if they can draw a crowd with STORM TEAM WEATHER... think what these might do!

I love it when one of the bombastic weather intros hits and then the weather dude/dudette comes on and says, "It looks like another pretty day for the tri-state with plenty of sunshine and mild temperatures!"

I really enjoy watching Tony Cavalier when a storm looms. He's a trip.
